Contemporary Library Consultants will
- lead libraries in change,
- consult with architectural design teams,
- advise community organizations in the following focused areas:
Outreach Services
- Developing and implementing library cooperative learning centers (homework help).
- Creating programs for underserved communities including people in prisons, new immigrants, parents and teens.
- Improving library resources and services for English Language Learners and students.
- Making connections and building community relationships.
Library Environments
- Promoting information literacy to all users.
- Consulting on new building design and renovation projects.
- Designing out-of-school planning and programming.
Project Management
- Assisting with research, information retrieval and special projects.
- Leading grant management and implementation.
Customer Driven Services
- Coaching staff in positive library leadership, service and community building.
- Working with staff to create opportunities for change.
- Promoting the benefits and opportunities of utilizing volunteers in libraries.
